That would be great. I now know how to drive to London, since I tried that (and succeeded) for Soundgarden :).

Wowzie!! Congrats big Hilly-man!

(in other, totally unimportant news: the first post was a wink to the first post in the old topic, nothing actual, sorry)

Given the frequency of Euro shows vs. US shows, perhaps this thread should now refer to a westerdly path across the atlantic...

And congratulations, Hilmar! Are you still not on Facebook? Did you see Pearl Jam or Eddie Vedder last year?

I have an account, but I am not active. I only use it for Spotify.

I've seen neither last year. Thought the ticket prices were absurd (especially for Eddie's solo gigs). Concerts that did kick my ass last year were My Morning Jacket and Bonnie Prince Billy.

Only concerts I've got planned this year are Brad and Neil Young w/ Crazy Horse.

Talk about crazy ticket prices... Brussels is about €100. I'm politely skipping that one. But yes, Vedder at Amsterdam was out of my league as well. Felt really bad not to have seen it/Mirella. But that price + €50 fuel. I just couldn't do it.

Amsterdam is "only" €70 including all those crazy-ass surcharges.

Check out this place, although the prices may be massive for the night of the gig. there are a few options in the same complex and is about 5 minutes from the RDS

See you at Brad then! We are going to all Dutch and the one in Belgium, but a friend is doing the complete tour. I see all those other bands at festivals like Roskilde again, I hope. That saves a lot of money ;). And PJ/EV were worth every cent last year. Amazing shows, all four I saw. One had a setlist compiled by a fan, including real gems, and one of the EV concerts had me on stage. Could not have wished for anything more :).
By the way, the Dutch Ramblings forum will cease to exist. You can stay in touch by liking the Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/dutchramblings.

Ballsbridge is pretty much one of the poshest/most expensive parts of town....you'll get a hotel/hostel cheaper in the city centre a lot cheaper, and it's 15 minutes on the bus out..
