I'd never had this one before. It's pretty awesome. It's got a pineapplely/papaya flavor hiding in there. I don't think it's brewed with fruit, but there's definitely a taste of it there.

So, went to the Boulevard Launch Event last night at a place around the corner from my apartment. Had four Boulevard beers last night that I've never tried before: The Calling IPA (YEEEEEES! Might be my new favorite of theirs), Whiskey Barrel Aged Imperial Stout (amazing), The Sweet Belle Saison (not bad, not my favorite, not even my favorite of their saisons) and The Pop-UP IPA (not as good as The Calling).

I also brought home a 4 PK of The Calling and a 24 Ozer of the Chocolate Ale and the Bourbon Barrel Quad. I haven't tried either of those before, so I'm pretty stoked about diving in.

God, I'm so fucking happy that Boulevard is in NYC!

That sounds fucking awesome! Nights like that are so much fun. I'd dig many of those but I'd LOVE to try the Whiskey Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. That's right up my alley.

It was fantastic. I don't tend toward stouts for whatever reason. But it's one of the best I've had in a very long time. I'd highly recommend it. It's something I'll definitely go back to sooner than later.

Yes that was awesome as well. I expected that one to be good. I was just pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed that Daisy Cutter. I had it one night with some brats on the grill and it really was a great meal.

Good to know. I'll send you some more. Half Acre is opening a new, bigger facility next week, so the production should ramp up. They have another one called Seneca, which is a little hoppier. But the Daisy Cutter is a ridiculously good lighter ale.
