Good. I like this way more than Marshall coming back to the AFC West.
He's probably a shadow of his beastly self from early in his career. The Broncos and Chargers don't need him, the Chiefs couldn't afford his contract, and I wouldn't have been too scared if he landed with the dark side.
I was more concerned with the fake report yesterday that he'd landed in SD. Only because Rivers would use the entire fuck out of him. And I like to see Rivers cry. Of all the AFCW teams, his landing in SD troubled me the most. Glad that's off the table.

That's awesome, that's what they should hand out at the rookie symposium. You want the people to love you when it's over. Say this.

Well, except seeing him win a SB as a Chief.
Bet this makes you feel pretty good.

Chip Kelley knows he could have a college job anywhere he wants if the Pros don't work out. He's doing it his way and will go down with the ship if it doesn't work.

And it'll also ease the pain of Rodney Hudson leaving for the dark side for what could by a staggering $8.9 million a year...yikes.

Yeah, I was heartbroken when I woke up today and saw that rockstar center Rodney Hudson was sentenced to 5 years in Oakland.

Good for him though. Get that Raider money. Some people care a lot more about money than winning.

Also, Maclin?!

I want this to be true so badly, but I'm a big gun shy after Sanders last year. Once bitten and all that.

Yeah...I'm guessing that since practically every team has at least flaunted the rules, nothing will come out of this. This sounds like the NFL saying, "Or else we will be very, very angry with you, and we will write you a letter telling you so!". But hey, the Broncos haven't reportedly signed any UFA yet, and all of the other division rivals have!

I saw that earlier, and I just think there's no fucking way the Chiefs can make that work with they cap situation, especially after breaking the bank on Maclin.

I mean, Hudson's out. Bowe will be gone very soon (and we're paying Maclin less this year than we would've paid Bowe). Hali's restructured. There's another easy $10 mill to be found by cutting folks like Daniel and DeVito.

I think it's highly HIGHLY unlikely. I'm damn near ready to say impossible that Revis lands in KC. The only way I could see them make it work is by securing a long term deal. Which hasn't really been Revis's style in the past.

But if he's ready to settle down, it could work. The cap is expected to go up to somewhere in the neighborhood of $148-$153 mil and the Chiefs are only $85 mil committed next season. So if we can do a multi-year, back-loaded kinda thing with guarantees, then it's possible.

Again, SUPER unlikely. But it's possible. There's always a way to make it work if he's your guy.

If I'm a betting man, though, I'm betting on Revis being in a different color scheme than Red and Gold come season opener.

Eagles resigning Sanchez makes me think they are going to trade Foles and try to get Mariota.

Foles is definitely the odd man out now. Chip doesn't have much left to offer for a trade apart from picks. Doesn't seem like he'd be willing to dump too many picks the way he is dismantling that team though.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.
