Thanks for the memories. Hope you catch a TD pass next season in Miami.
I laughed so hard when the refs overturned Bowe's Week 17 TD to a fumble recovered by Travis Kelce. Karma must have really, really wanted the Chiefs' WRs to get blanked out for the season.
Karma and strange play calling and an super conservative QB.

Joey, any thoughts on Vance Walker? He's continuing his AFC West tour with a stop in Denver for 2015.

I don't have much of an opinion at all. I barely remember the guy. He didn't have much of an impact. But that goes both ways, too. I don't recall him ever fucking up a great deal either. Totally meh in my book.

Sounds about right. They just needed depth at the position with Wolfe, Jackson, Sly Williams, and Austin already in the fold.

Yeah, you guys are fine. Some depth is good.

I do kinda wonder what would happen if DBowe landed in your lap, though. I think Bowe still has a lot in the tank. And with a QB like Manning, I think he could still be a threat. Maybe not a #1, but a threat.

I don't know how many throws he'd get with DT, Sanders, and Green/Daniels already in the fold. They also want to see what they have with Cody Latimer. I can't see the need there. If an AFC West team is going to grab him, I'd think it would be the Chargers, since they made a run a Andre Johnson and failed.

Oh I totally agree. I'm just trying to mentally prepare for the worst. Because, you know, Chiefs.

Besides SD, I think Bowe makes the most sense in Baltimore or Miami. I'll be surprised if he doesn't land in one of those markets.

The Ravens do make a lot of sense, both for the need and because Ozzie Newsome obsesses about getting compensatory draft picks, and signing players who were cut doesn't count against that.

And we have more. I have to give the Saints credit: they knew their cap was a mess and there was no point with delaying the inevitable rebuilding. Brees might be the only thing stopping them from really sucking next year.

i can finally come out of the closet and profess my immense love for demarco murray. this guy's running style is exactly what i love about running backs. shoulders down, full speed and straight ahead. the eagles back field might actually have improved after shady left, who the hell would have ever thought that? im pretty excited to watch this offense.

Apparently this was Watt's reaction to the Texans signing Vince Wilfork. If so, I hope he said it just like Nelson Muntz.

Holy shit. Craziest offseason ever. The Niners went from having excellent depth at ILB to being weak at the position.

I'm not sure this Boreland story is really as big as it's being made out to be...unless you're a 49ers fan anyway. He mentioned CTE? Ok, good for him, but it was worth it playing one year and college and high school? He used football, he got a free education and a solid year of pay in the NFL. Now he's going to go do work he would rather do.

My guess is he liked the work environment less, it wasn't enjoyable to him anymore and the potential health issues, aren't worth it for a guy with options.

We're blowing it out of proportion. It's not a seachange. The world is not changing, though the next CBA discussions I hope got more interesting. The seachange should come from the NFL owners and the NFL corporate being treated like the tobacco industry, because they've known about these problems for years.

Jason Worilds retired, he was positioned to make even more money and he was probably a better player, but instead of CTE he just said he wanted to go serve God, like Glen Coffee.

Football has been a violent dangerous game for more than 100 years. It's not shocking people with options would walk away from it, even if they can get paid a lot of money.

I can completely see how going from College to the NFL could turn people off to the game. Without even taking the serious health risks into account.

Thats not what he laid out in his statements though. Mostly, it just seems like he didn't want his brain to turn to mush...

Which is going to illicit a far more positive public reaction than say, Larry Sanders got.

Crazy story from Kevin Acee about Philip Rivers. He doesn't plan on extending and it sounds like he really doesn't want to play in LA. Here's where I speculate that it's because LA isn't as conservative as SD, and here's where others start to speculate the Chargers trade Rivers and their 1st round pick to the Titans to go get Mariota.

It's a pretty smart assessment really. He's got examples in that locker room of what it does to your body.

At the end of the day, he still made an NFL paycheck for a year and got a free education from Wisconsin, good for him.
