I'd like the Chandler signing a lot more if we had some starting CBs. :/
Or if we could take some pressure off of the DBs by applying it to the opposing QB instead.
I'm never satisfied.

Step 1: Allow division rival to hoard star CBs getting older.Self wrote:I'd like the Chandler signing a lot more if we had some starting CBs. :/

Step 2: ????
Step 3: Malcolm Butler wins Pats another Super Bowl.

Even though I think Butler is more than the one play, I appreciate your optimism.Green Habit wrote:Step 1: Allow division rival to hoard star CBs getting older.Self wrote:I'd like the Chandler signing a lot more if we had some starting CBs. :/

Re: New England Patriots
Can't fault Revis for taking more $$$ to be back with the club that drafted him. Sounds like the Pats didn't even come all that close. They sure do stick to a certain philosophy that has served them well with competing every year and winning all those SBs.
Still, with the Brady window shrinking, I was excited about the possibility of getting one more year from Revis.
Looks like it's a ball control offense now, coupled with the bend, don't break defense. The only plus side is that Revis went to a team that won't compete for a SB this year, so there's that.

Re: New England Patriots
i like the chandler and sheard signings. i like the branch, mccourty, and siliga re-signings.
i'll miss wilfork much more than any of the other departures (including Mevis). i'll reserve judgement of Chekwa, Fletcher, and McClain until after the draft.
regardless of what happens between now and september, i like the idea of the patriots entering a season where they are coming off of a super bowl championship, have one of the youngest rosters in the league, and can play the underdog card against teams that are "loading up."

This is so stupid. Revis is one of the few human beings on earth to recognize that he is the absolute best at what he does and carry himself with the balls to match. It's been absolutely hilarious to watch butthurt pats fans react to his departure.elliseamos wrote:Mevis

The nickname has more to do with how he does business, as oppose to which team he does business with. He has been one of the best in the league his entire career, but he's also made sure you knew it every step of the way. I blame Deion, really.Orpheus wrote:This is so stupid. Re: New England Patriots
This Pats fan respects Revis, and how he conducts business, and feels fortunate that we got him for a very reasonable rate for one great year. Hating Revis makes no sense and takes away from the SB win.Orpheus wrote:This is so stupid. Both of these statements are true: I don't know a single Patriots fan who isn't upset about Revis leaving; I don't know a single Patriots fan who is upset at Revis for leaving.

Now that Al Davis is gone, the Patriots/Jets rivalry has to be the best in going all the way up to the owners' boxes.

I'm glad I don't have to worry about this pick, since Malcom has already declared himself the best pick in franchise history!
