How far could you run if a snake was chasing you?
All the way.
So you're saying you want to go all the way with a snake? Is this like an S&M thing you have?
Welp, there goes sleep tonight.

Yoga + 7 miles in 52 minutes

Yoga kicked my ass, then I ran home from the gym. The run started nicely, but then I faded badly. Totally dehydrated by the end. Drank a gallon of water and played with the kids in the sprinkler to cool down afterward. I suck at yoga.

I have all the flexibility of an elephant these days. Yoga would kill me!

My rim-to-rim-to-rim run at the Grand Canyon isn't happening. I could probably struggle through it, but it wouldn't be any fun. I may reschedule for a month or so, but I doubt it. Luckily it was just gonna be a solo run, so I won't be leaving anyone high and dry. I haven't really done anything epic in more than a year now and summer is fast approaching, which means I'll probably go 2 full years without an ultra. :(

Wow that would be amazing! Keep working towards it.

I did my normal set of push ups and sit ups today and a quick jog with the dog, the real workout will come when I meet up with the bicycle club for some work on the bike trails, they are working on a new set of switchbacks and fixing a few berms and of course a group ride afterwards.

That counts. Unless it's a ride on.

I'll disengage the gears on my push mower so I have to actually push the thing. Good work out in itself.

 Remember, all your grasscutting power comes from your legs, not your back or arms. Treat that mower like it's your bitch.

especially with a mid yard hill to combat

and it's not a push, but not a sit down mower either. i always keep the power boost or autodrive or whatever it is off to get the best workout.

Are you doing 5/3/1? I feel like I remember you mentioning it awhile back.

A crappy 4.5 mi struggle. Picture perfect day too - sunny and low 60's.
Just didnt have much in the tank. Maybe because i ate like shit yesterday.

I am quite frustrated that i am struggling with 4.5 miles at this point.

Think i need to visit the sled hill this week.

Got a good one last night. Round of weights plus a mile and a quarter on the treadmill before re-visiting some upper body stuff. Left all shaky and sweaty but felt great!
Kind of have an odd schedule this week and thinking about going back tonight. I know back to back days aren't necessarily a good thing but may be my only chance to hit the gym before the end of the week.

Quads are absolutely furious. They won't stop screaming at me. But I'm gonna try for 12. If I can do 7, I'll call it a victory.
