basically a tossup. Two of the best outros in the catalog.

Black, I guess. Both deserving songs.

Black. But again, I'm not gonna be mad should RVM take this one. Both top tier Pearl Jam. Two of the best songs I've heard by just about any rock band.

Vote for Black. RVM is at the bottom of the top tier PJ songs for me. Black is just iconic and I've never grown too tired of it.

Black is as classic as classic comes with PJ. And my biggest gripe with RVM is how they often turn the live mid-song breakdown into a long meandering mess. Black very often suffers from the same fault in a live setting with the outro just going on without purpose. Not all the time, but they each have similar faults for me in that regard.

Hard to find much negative with either, and I know I'm reaching.

RVM is just a great rock song with about as good a verse/chorus/outro combination as you can find. Eddie's best song.

You'd think it would be upsetting, but it's actually refreshing to see the pendulum shift away from Black. I'll never let it go. But it used to be a given. Kinda fun to see how this stuff changes.
