Pretty much. Hopefully this game will do well so they don't have to worry about publishers screwing them.jwfocker wrote:BurtReynolds wrote:hey yo suckas. do you like old school RPGs like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale? Game looks really good. Interested to see what they have done with a universe of their own making. No longer stuck with D&D rules too. Between this and Bloodborne I will be good for a long time.
Also thank you kickstarter. Apparently it saved Obsidian from bankruptcy.

Re: The all inclusive video game thread
i don't play video games anymore (i stopped playing during the ps2/xbox era), and when i played i didn't really have a particular genre preference. my favorites were shadow of the colossus, metal gear solid series, and the GTA series. i tended not to enjoy the dominance of the FPS, which is a big part of why i stopped playing. nobody wanted to play anything except fucking halo.BurtReynolds wrote:Kanye West endorses it.Alex wrote:i didn't play those games, but i have a healthy appreciation of burtreynolds. is this still the game for me?BurtReynolds wrote:hey yo suckas. do you like old school RPGs like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale? I'm all for them if they expose more people to the games. More often than not they are developed/optimized by another development team.CopperTom wrote:Money grab.LoathedVermin72 wrote:BioWare needs to hurry the fuck up and get that Mass Effect Remastered Trilogy released already.

Yeah, completely fucking disagree. I am DYING for this collection. I badly want to replay the trilogy but I want to wait for the remastered versions.CopperTom wrote:Money grab.LoathedVermin72 wrote:BioWare needs to hurry the fuck up and get that Mass Effect Remastered Trilogy released already.

It's going to include all the DLC, have improved graphics/framerate, and be an all-around more refined, better version of the trilogy experience. It's going to be the best way to play the greatest series in video game history for the foreseeable future. How is that just a cash grab? Is it also merely a cash grab when a studio releases a classic movie in with a remastered transfer on Blu-ray?

Awful try on the BluRay comparison. A movie is NOT developed for a home theatre format, unlike a video game. It's a cash grab.
