No. I have trouble with old-school RPGs. Even KOTOR I couldn't get into. I can't get past the wall of my protagonist not being voiced (this doesn't really apply to a game like Baldur's Gate, but still); totally takes me out of the experience. I also hate turn-based combat.
oh well. its not really turn based unless you want it to be, but the combat is pretty complex by today's standards. The character/story stuff in those games are top notch, but its all text.
Yeah, this is largely the problem. Without that cinematic immersion, I just have trouble connecting with the experience.
read a book, lv.
That's kinda my point; I'd rather just a read a book than play those kind of games.

I'm intrigued by Bloodborne. I never played any of the Souls games though. Has anyone pick it up yet?

whew Bloodborne is a goddamn master work. Amazing. It can be unforgiving but every situation has at least two solutions. The setting/atmosphere is so well done. I love the combat too. A lot of hidden shortcuts and areas as well.

I highly recommend it. Totally unique gaming experience. Just be patient.

A good source for help - youtube channel for epicnamebro - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyfeBHAfpZQ

Anybody ever play the Lisa games (http://rpgmaker.net/users/Dingaling/)? I played through most of Lisa "The First" the other day. It's a pretty fucked up little game; pretty mature themes and such, but light on action and interaction. The best things about it were the surreal haunting aspect of the visuals and the music. Takes a decent amount of inspiration from Earthbound, which is great in my book because that's one of my favorite games. I'm thinking of spending the $10 and downloading the sequel, Lisa; The Painful RPG. It appears to be quite a bit deeper and perhaps even weirder.

Been playing Farcry 3. Despite playing for about twenty hours, I'm pretty sure I hate it. Tons of stuff to do, but its all kinda tedious. The hunting stuff is annoying. Just let me make a bag out of any animal! I hate crafting. The story is hilariously bad, and the AI is a joke.

I really liked Farcry 2. In that game I didn't have to worry about being attacked by invincible tigers and dogs every five minutes.

I've only played Far Cry 3 & 4 - I enjoyed them both!

I've been playing a lot of Smash Brothers lately. So many damn characters. It is hard to determine a favorite.

I just noticed that I have an extra copy of Crusader Kings 2 in my steam library. Anyone want it?

I'm still playing 13; I'm years into my RTTS seasons now and they can't be carried over, so I probably won't upgrade until I get a PS4 (i.e. years). What are some of the new updates/features?

Actually, one of the new features is that you can carry a RTTS/Franchise over from the previous year. Most of it is just cosmetic stuff, I think they added one of those online dynasty games that NHL has but I don't get into those .
