to get this back on track, my gf in college got me into ani difranco (although I didn't really open up to her until after we broke up). I got her into PJ. I think she was more successful though.

At one point we were talking about getting married and wishlist would have been our song. Then we broke up, and we went to one of the Mansfield 98 shows with a group of friends, and they played wishlist, and it was awful.

My brother and sister-in-law got married on my birthday (weak, I know). To "make it up" to me, he called me out at the reception and wanted me to have a dance with my sister-in-law. It was to "Just Breathe" and was super weird and creepy.

did they play black?

most of the people i know are older than me, but almost everyone at least respects pearl jam's work, some of them go to shows when they come around, so there's various degrees of fandom between my friends. the people who really dislike pearl jam i pretty much just look down on.
