Just cancelled cable services with Comcast. Not surprising, cancelling said service was more difficult than getting them to fix it every time it broke.

Do you have a local channel that plays sports? If so, if you pick up some rabbit ears antenna, you may get it

i actually need to pick up one of those HD antennas. I hear that gets most channels and runs about $40.

The dude at comcast was the worst. Kept drilling me on how much of a deal im getting with the triple play bundle. And basically said that what im paying for cable is cheaper and a better deal than what netflix and hulu can offer. I dont understand his reasoning for that but hey whatever...

I haven't tried the HD antenna, but the $9 RCA rabbit ears I have get incredible reception. You'll be shocked at how much better the picture quality is on the antenna vs the digital line from comcast.

When you get the antenna, go here: http://www.antennaweb.org/
You can input your address and it will tell you what direction all the towers are coming from for maximum reception

edit: actually, check that site out first so you can find out how far away your antenna towers are... if they're pretty far away, you might be able to make a judgement call on what kind of antenna to get

In process now.... Getting just comcast internet. Have fire tv and getting more fire sticks. Prime is $99/yr, plus Subscribed to hulu plus and sling tv..getting VoIP house phone. Comcast box came today but didn't have time to fuck with everything. Bye bye uverse

I use my parents cable login to use the NBC Sports and ESPN apps and just run and HDMI cable from my computer to my TV.
