The Wisconsin invastion

Post by BigRedLedbetter »

Who else is loving these bands?

PHOX
Field Report (one of my favorite bands right now)
Daniel and the Lion
Boom Forest
Foreign Fields
etc

Adam Durtiz said it best when Counting Crows were in Milwaukee last year.... "I don't know what the fuck you got in the water here but drink up.".

Not to mention Bon Iver and Megafaun but the bands above are really great bands if you guys have not checked them out.

I'm not sure their later work lived up to the promise of their early EPs.

i wish i was there too. it sounds pretentious as hell, but i think the northern woods of wisconsin would offset that.

Totally agree with that. I love a lot of the bands there and I'm the least hipster of anyone on this board. Perception isn't always reality.
