Looking ahead to next offseason, in the past I've wanted the Red Sox to target a pitcher like Price or Zimmermann and stay away from Cueto. Thinking that he might not translate as well to the American League. I take that back after reading this:
• Johnny Cueto was 12-for-13 in quality starts when facing a top-10 offense in 2014, his 92.3 percentage best in the majors. He had a 2.00 ERA in those games.

Cueto and Zimmerman are the two guys I want, either is fine for me.

Still preseason, but Sanchez-Owens should be a fun one today.

I'm really high on Owens, but obviously we have to see him against major league lineups.

Not a great line today against a mostly regular Jays lineup (minus Encarnacion), but that lineup is specifically designed to wreck lefties.

Owens just has all the intangibles you want out of a LHP, whether he can put it all together at the highest level or not, who knows.

I don't know if I've ever heard a baseball player with a better attitude than Stroman. He's going to be so, so good when he gets back.

This shows you just how much attention I give to spring training sometimes; I even remember Darvish's surgery, but for some reason I thought it happened last year.

Anyways, Betts for 2015 MVP! (He musta used up his rookie eligibility last year, right?)

I know I said this last year, but I'm once again considering a trip to Fenway this year. Hopefully it works out this time.

i know this will probably get laughed at, but I'd at least consider having Napoli catch a few games here and there now that Vazquez is out. It opens up a spot for Craig to play a little bit, since it appears Victorinos spot in the lineup is guaranteed regardless of his production.

I'm just worried they are going to trade Craig without even giving him a chance to play. I fing loved that guy when he was in STL.
