Caught her performance on Fallon last night. While it sounded good to be sure, she has to stop her ridiculously goofy choreography. It's uncomfortable to watch.

Not all weird is bad. This weird happens to be just a little silly for my tastes.cutuphalfdead wrote:Why is weird bad?

Right?cutuphalfdead wrote:Why is weird bad?
Also, I don't think it's all that weird. I think it's beautiful. And it adds a sort of haunting visual to a nostalgic and heartfelt narrative. I think it's pretty fantastic.

Re: St. Vincent - S/T (Feb 25)
I listened to Strange Mercy yesterday for the first time in a while and realized that I feel much the same way about it as I did when I checked out the self-titled. The first several songs are really good, with interesting instrumental work, especially in the guitar and keyboard shredding (though the rhythmic interplay is no slouch either). Then it just kinda drops off and hovers around an area of indistinguishable "meh" for the most part. I'll have to revisit the first two albums and see if they also seem to rely on a bit too much filler.

Nice pun, Joey... Has she gone back to being a brunette, or is that an old pic?
Speaking of... When the fuck was THIS from, and where can I see the performance??? That's a pretty badass look she's throwing down...

And yeah, she's been a brunette again for a while. Since just before the new year.
