If Tony LaRussa and Bobby Bonilla were so great, then how come I don't see them in the majors right now?

The Hawk taught Yaz what it meant to "Eiffel Tower." Yaz went on to win the Triple Crown that very season. Coincidence? I doubt it.

Sweep!!
1st place!

I might as well say it now. I might not be able to say it after April.

Go Braves!

I twisted my knee last night. As a Texas Rangers fan I think that means I'm going on the 60 day DL.

Man, the Marlins offense is just brutal to watch.

I just came here to say Frates must be the anchor our starting rotation needs.

I think we're just going to turn around and trade him for Hamels, tbh.

I had originally come here to make a comment about the Red Sox accumulating dead weight contracts, but that would be too much, right?

Do other teams do stupid shit like have a "team poet laureate" come into the booth to read his "opening day poem"?

The long snow-bound winter casts a dark pall

Till one day an umpire hollers, “Play ball!”

Then skies start to brighten, blue displaces gray.

Baseball springs eternal. It’s Opening Day.

The birds begin singing. The trees start to bloom.

The umpire’s dusting home plate with his broom.

It’s a brand new beginning, a time we all cheer.

In baseball language it’s, “Happy New Year!”

The setbacks will surface, the losses, the gloom.

Each team except one is destined for doom.

But the Red Sox might win it, so let’s start to play.

And that is the magic of Opening Day.
Except he forgot the words halfway through and literally said, "There are other words in there."

Ohhhh so when they say "team poet laureate" they really mean "random fan selected to write a poem about opening day". I assumed they meant an actual poet.
