for the record, I'm against the same song being chosen more than once. It's more fun when we have to go to the scrap heap and explore songs we otherwise would never have listened to more than once (Beans )...

I'm cool with everything else in order to make everyone feel fairly-treated... and YES, Downer should be considered a Bleach track! I've always known it to be the closer off that album, and so has nearly everyone else who has ever owned the CD. Otherwise, I would have chosen it a few rounds ago. I chose proper album tracks first because, like in any draft, you pick the best players first, and pretty much every team drafts a shit player or three. It was a bad strategy, IMO, to wait on proper album tracks...

I agree that that there wasn't a desperate need for a wildcard round considering there are still original Nirvana songs sitting unchosen. That said, it does open the field to include some of those legitimately different radio session versions and demo recordings so I think it's not a bad idea overall.

Before we begin the final round, can we have a clarification on the rules for this round? From what others have posted here, these seem to be the guidelines:

- If you've already picked songs from the 3 studio albums, you cannot pick another studio song, even if it's available.
- "Alternate or demo versions of other album tracks" are okay
- All 8th round picks must be from an official release (Unplugged, Muddy Banks, WTLO, etc.)

(The last rule seems a little puzzling to me but that's what someone else wrote on here. I'm totally fine with it.)

My strategy for this tournament was terrible. Should have gone after choice b-sides first, with the assumption that there isn't really bad picks on In Utero and Nevermind. Oh well.

For this pick, I had to do more digging. I really don't know much about Nirvana outside of their studio work (and unplugged and Muddy Banks, and my Roma bootleg). This has been fun to dig through the b-sides. The thing that sucks for me, is when I find one I really like, I see it's already been taken, thus making me dig even deeper. It's been nice to hear a bunch of songs I didn't know about and/or forgot about.
