I watched the directors cut again recently and it is a terrific movie. I think it came out at a time when people were a bit Historical Epic'd out (Troy and Alexander had stunk up the genre the previous year) and I think it get's unfairly lumped in with those movies.

as much as i hate orlando bloom, i've heard a lot of good things about the director's cut...seems the consensus is it's miles better than the regular cut
