Slynt's execution was underwhelming. Why didn't anyone grab his boots? They were new and fur lined.

The North Remembers

I think this was the best episode of the season so far.

Makes me think he's definitely a pretender in the books, but a lot of people thought so anyways. Also, they used the scene with Shireen last week to get across a lot of the greyscale stuff we got from Griff.

In the book, I loved the tension of him about to be hanged, pleading for his life. Jon says "wait, this isn't right" and you don't know what the fuck he's thinking. Is he going to let Janos go because he pleads for mercy? Then, "fetch me a block" as if to say "haha, gotcha! I'm totally the kid raised by ned stark"

Exactly.

Also, letting Janos sleep on it really draws out the tension between the two of them.

Spearwives? Do you mean the shot of Myranda and the other girls? She's gonna be trouble for Sansa.

Yeah, looks like Sansa is taking over the Jenye Poole (aka fake Arya) plot. So either Tormund IS Mance and they just haven't revealed Melisandre's glamour yet. Or he'll take over the Mance portion of the story, maybe.

But now I really wonder what the fuck Martin's planning on doing with Sansa in the books.

I was gonna say. I saw the Myranda and the other bedwarmers. Don't recall Spearwives. Unless they're the same thing in the show. I fucking can't remember.

My best guess: somehow she and Littlefinger take their revenge on the Boltons. Possibly with Reeks help.

My guess is any revenge Sansa takes will be independent of Littlefinger at this point.

Yeah. The girls who sexed up Theon right before Ramsay flayed his peepaw.

I'd guess so, too. But all bets are off at this point. It's so exciting!
