I don't think you can call Punch Drunk Love an "Adam Sandler movie"; it doesn't really fit the accepted definition.

Last weekend I texted my wife and said, "If you want to watch the last 10 minutes of The Waterboy, come into the living room as fast as you can." It's a shit, unfunny movie, but I couldn't look away.

Happy Gilmore, on the other hand, is a masterpiece. The pace and timing are near perfect.

agreed on punch drunk love...i wouldn't call happy gilmore a masterpiece, but it's the most watchable of his normal comedies
