Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Yeah. She's seems to have a decent idea of what she is/what she can do. So I don't dislike her. But she's yet to show much depth or versatility.

I reserve judgment until I see her in action. I have to note, though, I was thoroughly and completely disappointed that the aeon flux movie was such I travesty though so I'm a bit worried. These hyper sexualized woman superheros are really tough to portray realistically because it's mostly comic book porn so you end up with movies that only add them to the storyline to get the acceptable amount of porno grade fantasy in the plot.

I don't want psylocke to be that.

You're focusing on the wrong part of that sentence, boo. And thereby missing the entire point. Maybe you should've posted this in the "take quotes out of context" thread.

no, I got the whole sexual objectification thing (which is a tired argument, btw), but srsly... look at the superhero men, too... it's all an exaggeration. I just hate the sexist angle... and arguing that superheroes aren't portrayed realistically is stupid.

There's really no point in having that conversation here anyway.

What other X-Menish things can we talk about? Did we talk about Ice Man being gay in this thread yet?

none of this matters because they are rebooting the whole thing after Wolverine 3.

Fox doesnt know what to do with these movies, they had a very good thing with the x men franchise and they are killing it already.

I get the rebooting. Actors age. Comic book characters don't. Although since they just went with a team of really young xmen maybe they could get another movie or two out of this.

I guess they want to be able to keep wolverine?

At some point, one would hope, one of these studios will take a chance and just... recast. At some point you have to try that. I bet most people will buy in, especially if they're already fans of the world you've created. James Bond sorta does it and nobody gives a shit.

Just continue with your current continuity and recast Wolverine. Here's a thought, get a good fucking competent actor and trust your shit.

Agree.

Such a waste of time to reboot the whole thing after they kinda fix it with DOFP. Why bother with Apocalypse? or Wolverine 3?

Just recast, get a new director and follow what you have been building.
