listen to Demons->Don't Swallow The Cap, as they are on the record.

can't wait to hear the studio version of 'I Should Live In Salt' to open the record.

Haven't listened yet but they are supposedly soundboards...
NYC is a webcast and Chicago is an FM source, the latter is also on the archive.

NYC is all over the place and very flat.. Chi-Town I don't recall (was a while ago) still worth the effort I'd say. But if ya'll have the time this project is also worth a gander.

The drummer from the national plays on Hansards record but their guitar player played with him the other night. Guys got serious chops.

yup.

Bryce is classically trained and by far the most musically talented member of the band.

There are two sets of brothers in this band. I did not know that. Must make for some hectic band fights :)

I know it's probably a long shot, but if anyone needs two tickets to their sold out show at The National in Richmond, VA in June, let me know. I'm not going to be able to make the show and I'm hoping these tickets don't go to waste.

Just got an email alert, tickets for Lupos in Providence are going on sale at noon friday. Fuck yesss, a gig within walking distance of my house, no travel hassle. Intimate venue, good sound...ohhh baby.

I almost considered shelling out 70+ bucks to see them at that Boston Calling festival clusterfuck, good thing I abstained.

Providence has been getting the shit end of the stick for good tours for a while, but once in a while we get lucky.

Holy crap - "I Need My Girl" sounds awesome when they performed it on the Jimmy Fallon show (last night?). It sounds a bit reworked from when they debuted it in late 2011.

Those drums! :heartbeat:

Can it be May 20 already???

Got my floor ticket, 30$+6.60$ etix fee wasn't bad. Any other RI/MA area folks going? Now is the time to get them tickets...

I'll be getting the CD, but I haven't prayed this hard for an early leak in a while. 2 weeks between the album and the show isn't a lot of time to get used to the new stuff. High Violet didn't really sink in for at least 6 months. Boxer took like a year before it crept up on me.
