Re: TV: Arrested Development
So every episode is set at the same time? That's really interesting and something I've wanted to see a TV show try and tackle for some time now. Can't fucking wait.

Re: TV: Arrested Development
I'm watching the first three seasons again now in anticipation. This show gets better every time I watch it.

Re: TV: Arrested Development
These are my two favourite exchanges between Michael and George Michael:
Oscar: Hi. This is Oscar. I’m off pursuing my lady love. Leave a message. I’ll get back to you next summer.
Michael: Hey, it’s Michael. I know that you think that you’ve disappeared, but I will find you.
George Michael: Who’s... who’s disappeared?
Michael: No one. Why do you ask? Have you seen someone?
George Michael: I’ve seen no one!
Michael: Then you haven’t seen anyone who looks like Pop-Pop?
George Michael: No. Why? Has someone who looks like Pop-Pop disappeared?
Michael: No. Of course not.
Michael: What do you think of when you hear the word, "Sudden Valley"?
George Michael: Salad dressing, I think. But for some reason I don't want to eat it.
Michael: Right. But, "Paradise Gardens"?
George Michael: Yeah... Okay, I can... I can see marinating a chicken in that.

That's a pretty great example of how perfectly they cast those roles. I'm still curious to see if the writing holds up, and that didn't give much indication either way, but half the fun in this show was seeing comedic actors who can own a moment that sparse and make it great.

Yeah, I saw that clip before but it's still good for a giggle.
I usually don't read comments but this one got an unintentional laugh:
"I also like when Tobias...does not realize he is gay. I heard the character is based on John Travolta."

Yeah the encouraging part about that, despite the fact there wasn't really anything to gauge in terms of the writing, is that it felt like Arrested Development. My fear when they announced that it was coming back was that despite good writing and acting, is that after 7 years it wouldn't feel right.

This is exactly what I thought. Not only was I lol'n, but I was thinking to myself "self, these guys don't seem to have missed a beat". Great clip.@SkitchP wrote:McParadigm wrote:That's a pretty great example of how perfectly they cast those roles. How do you guys feel about the new season being released all at once? That's generally how I watch TV now, but I still like the anticipation of waiting for shows like Breaking Bad and South Park every week.
