If he based his plans on a quick run through the internet, he should have known that he could just retard the growth of an entire generation of men by helping them spend their adulthood chasing the iconography of their youth. It would probably make them easy pickings.

hmmm they present the quote as thisspike wrote:zoinks
“You know what my final test was in the Red Room? They sterilized me, said it was one less thing to worry about. You think you’re the only monster on the team?”
When I could swear it was something like
“You know what my final test was in the Red Room? They sterilized me, said it was one less thing to worry about... You think you’re the only monster on the team?”
the ellipses being where she talks about how the lack of something (a baby) that could mean more than your mission and it made it easier to kill. She was trained to kill and not value life, that's what made her a monster. If I am wrong, I'll admit it, but I just saw the movie last night and I remember those words being the context of her feeling like a monster.

Also, the whole "I can't have kids" was offered up to Banner as something they have in common when he questions if they could have a future together and he says that he can't have children. It was supposed to be a unifying moment between two people that care for each other.

Re: Movie: Avengers: Age of Ultron (5-01-15)
This Star Wars isn’t being made for you, 9 year old kid full of hope and wonder…you gloriously imaginative packet of energy with deep-rooted yearnings to explore the fantastic. It’s being made for us...for the middle aged and tired. For dull-eyed saps who have grown deeply conservative about our consumer choices, and oversell ourselves on the greatness of the past in order to cover for that. This Star Wars is for fat and increasingly unremarkable people, with plenty of pocket money and a desire to recapture the excitement of our youth in as comfortable and safe a way as possible.BurtReynolds wrote:I will blow up this fucking board if a McP/LV alliance forms.
We are a special people. We came of age in the late-70’s to early-80’s, when the movie industry was just discovering mass merchandizing and family-focused blockbusters. We matured in the mid-80’s and 90’s, when those blockbusters began to take on richer themes and acquired better special effects, and when comedies couldn’t possibly have been better aimed at our exact demographic. We became professionals and family men, just as the post-Matrix/Lord of the Rings movie industry began to embrace dark science fiction tones and increasingly mature content. We became old enough to live on nostalgia, and wealthy enough to feed that passion, just in time to usher in an entire world full of comic book movies aimed at our unacknowledged arrested development.
We are a generation of movie goers who have literally never not been pandered to, stupid 9-year old, and this Star Wars is for us…as all things are.
It is the Rolling Stones megatour of movie marketing. Oh…sorry, 9-year old. You probably don’t get that reference. Just know that a Rolling Stone looks a heck of a lot like Harrison Ford, only more alive.
