Silver Lining is great. Life of Pi is great. The Hobbit is just awful.

I know the kind of plot device (story lines that meet at the end) used in this movie is not super original and some may think the end is pretty cheesy, but I loved it. I thought Ed Helms was fucking great and it was nice to see Rae Dawn Chong again. A very nice surprise.

I really loved the scene in Jeff where Ed Helms' character argues with his wife in the hotel room. I think that argument was deadly accurate in how many husbands and wives see each other. Or maybe how husbands don't understand what their wives actually need sometimes. Just so well written.

Gina Carano rules. Give her more roles like this and leave Angelina Jolie out of action movies. Even if the movie was pretty meh, that girl sure know how to kick and punch.
And to see Bill Paxton is always good.
