i'd put 3 ahead of 2, but i mostly agree...i didn't think shia was that bad, but he easily could have been the worst part if the rest of the movie was goodLoathedVermin72 wrote:1. The thing that Crystal Skull had going against it for me was that LeBeouf was in it. I didn't like it before I even saw it. I'll generally give any actor a chance, even if I haven't liked past performances (see McConaghey) but man I just can't watch a LeBeouf movie.

I'm not sure how I feel about LaBeouf. My gut reaction is that he seems like a douche, but I'm trying to examine those kinds of responses in myself lately and get over them. I definitely can't stand him when he's playing mainstream roles like his Transformers and Crystal Skull characters. But I actually thought he was rather compelling in Charlie Countryman. He wasn't bad in Fury either. I dunno. I wonder if I might come around on him.

Exactly. Separating art from artist, I've tended to like his work, actually. Forget what's he like as a person. He's had more than a few really interesting turns on the boards.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I'm not sure how I feel about LaBeouf. How does it affect your feelings to know that Brad Pitt called him one of the best actors he's ever worked with?E.H. Ruddock wrote:I will admit he was good in Fury.

He sold the line "What are you, like 80?" better than anything Harrison Ford managed in that entire movie (unless ol' Harry said "I desperately ache for death" and I just missed it, because I can't imagine that he could say that in any way that wouldn't be instantly believable).E.H. Fire ants and monkeys. Those were terrible. Other than that, it was par for the course.

If "par for the course" is slang for "at least as bad as any Star Wars prequel," then yes.
If only they had included the 9 other waterfall drops that were taken out of the director's cut...
