That's how I remember it.cutuphalfdead wrote:Also, they don't ever sail through the ruins of old Valyria in the book, do they? The Stone Men attack happens on the Rhoyne before Mormont comes into play, and then Tyrion ends up in Volantis where they board a boat and sail around Valyria to Slaver's Bay, no?

My biggest gripe so far is that they took out Connington and the Young Griff. I get why they would, especially if they don't really go anywhere in the book, but I don't like knowing that the Storm's End invasion isn't going to amount to much before I even pick up Winds of Winter.

Dany saying she'll marry Hizdahr in the show was so terribly set up aka almost not at all. It was an action that grew out of nowhere. I get that her small council is very small right now, but can the "lets get the two dark skinned actors together" scenes for a more meaningful scene between her and Missandei on how might she better relate herself to the people she wants to rule. We lack inner monologue, but she could tell Missandei about integrating into the dothraki and marrying for an alliance and how she grew to love Drogo. Instead we get a "shock value" scene. My show only friend wasn't really surprised either, just kinda confused where that came from.

Yeah I didn't like that at all. I liked how the book made it into a grueling decision she made, thinking she was doing the best pragmatic thing despite her gut telling her not to do it. Instead the show made it into a sudden realization of a good idea.

So are we going to get a Margaery or Cersei walk of shame? I know they were both arrested in the book but I'm starting to feel like that's the direction they're going.

Also, a little disappointed we didn't see reek eating out Sansa.

Honestly, though, I think that was worse than the book in some ways. Who felt a connection to Jeyne Poole, especially after she disappeared for a few books? It was awful watching that happen to Sansa. Like, to the point where I figured something would happen to stop it--Reek stepping in, STM getting to the walls. Just brutal.

In fact, I thought maybe reek would crack and attack Ramsay and somehow disable him and then escape winterfell with sansa, speeding things up considerably.

I think Cersei definitely walks. Things are going too well for her--Tyrells on the ropes, Tommen around her finger. Something's gotta give.cutuphalfdead wrote:So are we going to get a Margaery or Cersei walk of shame? It seems like show-watchers are starting to get the idea about John.

Considering how Dorne has gone this year, I can only imagine the Greyjoys would be a disaster.lowlight79 wrote:ARe they gonna completely not doing to the Greyjoys or will season 6 go there?
