I like to think that right now there is a six year old who doesn't even know who Pearl Jam is, but in fifteen or so years he will buy Vault #20: New York 7/8/03 and be like "NOW I NEED TO OWN ALL OF THEM" and he'll drop like a grand on my copy of Vault #1 that is sitting somewhere in my parents' garage.
So I hope they keep releasing these.
I have similar hopes for the Philly 2009 trading cards.
On second thought, you will have to pry those beauties out of my cold, dead hands.

I will trade my 2009 Trading Cards for your Vault #1.

Hardly seems like a good reason to delay the CD and FLAC options, though. There certainly weren't the same issues with the Vic or Constitution Hall CD's -- those both came within weeks of ordering them. I struggle to understand what's different about this.
They did the same thing with the previous Vault release (Bellingham 2000), the CD and digital options weren't available to order until the vinyl had actually shipped, months after it was announced.
I think it's silly on one hand too, I'd definitely prefer to simply buy the FLAC files now, but I think it's a conscious decision on the band's part to try as best they can to have everyone receive the show around the same time no matter what format you bought.

They could make sure everyone gets it around the same time regardless of the format you bought by shipping the vinyl when it's ready, allow for digital/cd sooner, and include a digital download with all vinyl purchases.

It's an excellent Vs tour performance featuring the debut performance of Tremor Christ and a partial Green River reunion in the encore, it's well worth picking up if you haven't heard it before.

The only thing missing is Ed and an Elvis impersonator singing My Way, the exclusion honestly doesn't really bother me.

But that song was already officially released. So what could possibly be the excuse.

I'm not a big fan of them either.
I prefer the more nuanced Pearl Jam of the middle years.
Ok... the Yield/Binaural era was great, too, but I cut my teeth on the Dave A/Angry Ed/Heroin Mike era. They played some monster shows during the 93-94 era. Also, I second the awesome factor of having a Green River quasi-reunion. I purchased the Hallucinogenic Recipe boot box set back in the day, which included a great audience recording of this show.

I guess they think of it as being equivalent to an Ed preset, separate to the show proper.

My first show was 11/12/93, so I may be a little biased... the band was definitely more refined as the Vs. tour went along, but I don't see how you can separate the two years too much. BTW, if anyone is interested, the RVM intro at the beginning of the Moody show and the ending of Blood are rather unique... as is the fact that they ended the show with Angel and there was an impromptu poetry reading

Worth checking it out if you've never heard it!
How old were you in 93?
