It's cool. I'll probably just hold off and order one after Christmas. It is a good show, from a year underrepresented by their "proper" discography (unlike Bellingham, which was an average show from a year that had already been exhaustively documented). I'm just ready to start seeing some Irons on these things.Birds in Hell wrote:They did the same thing with the previous Vault release (Bellingham 2000), the CD and digital options weren't available to order until the vinyl had actually shipped, months after it was announced.Kevin Davis wrote:Hardly seems like a good reason to delay the CD and FLAC options, though. There certainly weren't the same issues with the Vic or Constitution Hall CD's -- those both came within weeks of ordering them. I struggle to understand what's different about this.Birds in Hell wrote:I'd hazard a guess that the lengthy time between order and shipping reflects the current delays and quality issues that seem to invariably strike vinyl pressing runs in recent years.
I think it's silly on one hand too, I'd definitely prefer to simply buy the FLAC files now, but I think it's a conscious decision on the band's part to try as best they can to have everyone receive the show around the same time no matter what format you bought.
Personally I'm glad to have the track with the Elvis impersonator left off.
