I think I may have read every single review on RT, and every one said the exact opposite :)

I'm kinda with dime. There was soooooooo much dull exposition in this. And in all recent Marvel movies.

That said, the action sequences were terrible so it didn't really matter if it was yappin' or zappin' - they were both equally uninteresting.

The zappin' was adequate.

Saw this today. Was kind of disjointed and 6 out of 10 jokes landed with a thud for me. Still enjoyed it. Was glad Hawkeye got more time. Really liked the New Avengers line up wish they would do a smaller movie with just that group.

So word is despite this doing pretty well at the box office - the industry considers this to be under-performing...

thats because the industry is made up of idiots. They somehow expected it to do better than the first one, which is absurd.

Maybe if they'd called it Age of Voltron?

I enjoyed it thoroughly. Any complaints I had were buried under a pile of fun. I've always hated Thor, but I quite enjoyed him in this one.

2 things:
1) the prima nocta line was hilarious. I need to watch Braveheart again.
2) the witch reminded me of JLD's daughter on Veep.

Quick thought: Easily a better overall movie experience than the first Avengers.

I thought it was great. Great action, enjoyed the Hawkeye story, and great Cap/Thor/Stark dialogue. My favorite funny part was
Spoiler: show
when Cap moved Thor's hammer, the look on Thor's face.

One of the best parts of that scene is how it sets up the significance of vision lifting the hammer later on
