No fuckin' kidding. Between last night and game-1 the Habs could just as easily be up 2-1 but the playoffs are all about bounces and the Canadiens offense has dried up. The Habs got lucky against the Sens, but it's really coming back to haunt them now.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Heartbreaker for Montreal
After tonight I'm becoming a Hawks fan for the rest of the playoffs.

Anyone but the Caps. I just find them annoying. I was really rooting for the Wild or Habs to make it but backs against the wall now.

That was a brutal series for the Wild. They led for exactly 00:00:00 in the series. It was hard to watch.Chris_H_2 wrote:yeah, talk about laying a fat eggE.H. Ruddock wrote:At least strat won't have to worry about what the Wild are doing while he is away in Italy.

They really didn't show heart or much interest until the final 3-4 minutes. That was fun to watch.PHATJ wrote:That was a brutal series for the Wild. They led for exactly 00:00:00 in the series. Man if I was a Wild fan I would absolutely hate the Hawks. Anyways, I'm not and I love the Hawks.
3 years in a row to the same team is just so tough. So is losing 8 straight games to the same team in one year (hello Tampa-Montreal).
So can the Habs win game-5 back at home? I had just about stopped caring, but after last night I don't know what to think.

He's been invisible for most of the playoffs? I'm not just saying this as the 'sore loser' but really the Lightning looked horrible for long stretches of that series. They got some good bounces, but they don't look like a team that can compete with Anaheim or Chicago.

Re: NHL Thread
So far in my bracket pool I've got every single series right except for St Louis/Minnesota.
At the start of the playoffs this is what I had for the conference finals:
Rangers in 6 over Tampa
Hawks in 7 over Ducks

Anyone been watching the World Championships?
Team Canada is an absolute powerhouse this year. Semis and Finals are on Saturday/Sunday.

I've watched shockingly little this year. Same with the NHL playoffs. I've just thrown myself right into baseball.southp wrote:Anyone been watching the World Championships?
