Just continue with your current continuity and recast Wolverine. Here's a thought, get a good fucking competent actor and trust your shit.
ive heard thats what Marvel might be planning... next movie might be Downey Jrs last, wait a couple movies, then Ironman rejoins the Avengers (different actor) and phase out someone else whos had enough.

It would make sense, but Fox would have to start over since they already tackled the major story lines.
if Fox was smart, theyd start over and split the X-men into 2 teams (Blue and Gold) like the comics did, even years is a gold movie, odd years a blue movie, ever 3 years mega cross over movie (or space it out a lil more) but yeah, thats what they SHOULD do

Such a waste of time to reboot the whole thing after they kinda fix it with DOFP. Why bother with Apocalypse? or Wolverine 3?

Just recast, get a new director and follow what you have been building.
it will be interesting to see how spiderman does with Avengers. My understanding is that they are skipping the origin story. If that's successful it may encourage others to do the same.

Didn't they kind of already do that with Mark Ruffalo as Hulk?

Yerp. Good point. And it's working out just fine. So, there you go. Everybody do what Marvel's doing.

but it wasn't like the actor he replaced was particularly beloved in that role, nor was the movie a fan favorite.

Norton's Hulk was infinitely better than Bana's. I also thought it was better than the first CA and first Thor.

Absolutely. And I personally liked it more than Avengers. Though, I don't expect that to be a generally agreed upon sentiment.

I would go so far as to say Hulk is still the best superhero movie ever made.
