 I'm halfway thru 6 and I can't disagree. This show has yet to lose my interest. Bayliss has slowly become the most interesting character on the show IMO.

Thats one of the best parts of the show to me, is just how bayliss grows. At the beginning of the first episode (as orpheus pointed out) he is kind of a cliche. Idealistic and fresh faced. Watching him become jaded over the years, and how he begins to approach everything as a result is amazing.

Not until I figured out Kyle Secor played the drunk cowboy in City Slickers, did I appreciate Bayliss. Ironically for me, the thing I originally disliked about the show, the sudden and often cast changes, wound up being what kept the show fresh to me. Seeing a young Giancarlo Espisito in season 7, after being a fan of Breaking Bad, made his character legit from minute one. Great show from first to last episode.

Mick, did you ever get to see the movie?

Quality is actually pretty good. I inadvertently watched like a half hour of it.

I hadn't noticed it on there until today if it makes you feel any better. I forgot they got the WHOLE cast back.

"Groove Holmes" is a welcome addition to any television program's mise en scène, but it's especially appropriate when used as a backdrop to Meldrick's marital woes.

Why did you think he was gay? He was banging Kay Howard for most of the first couple seasons.
