Of course Dave requested this one....he's brought in a number of artists the last few weeks and requested songs.

I didn't love the performance, but at this point its getting pretty hard to get excited over Better Man.

the first two verses were terrible; eddie and the band were out of sync and eddie's annoying vocal tics were off the charts. things improved drastically once the song sped up, but then eddie ruined it with forced headbanging/guitar windmilling/string breaking/jumping; it was like he was overcompensating to make up for the rough first half of the song.

I watched most of the show last night. I used to watch it all the time as a kid but has Letterman done anything interesting or memorable since the Writer's Strike or the Conan saga? Talk about mailing it in for the past 10+ years.

You Letterman haters are insane. He is a fucking icon. I've been watching the shows for last 3 months after not watching regularly for years and have enjoyed them every night.

I'm with you. Letterman lost a lot of his edge over the last decade, but the shows these last few months have been fantastic.
