I hate Remy so much.

He is not very good but makes me laugh with his shenanigans. Of course It's been a few years since I have heard him.

I miss Extra Innings.

Tim Wakefield, Eck. When Remy retires, I hope Eck takes his place.

That's the way they do it outside of NE. You get NESN but they black the games out to make you get the MLB package.

So that answers my first question, but not the second...

Pre and post game shows, a Boston centric sports newscast, etc. I don't even like NESN, but if I moved out of town I'd probably get it for those things.

I always forget Eck was a Red Sock. He was pretty good on TBS.

Eck is awesome.

We have Eck, Jim Rice, Wakefield, and Steve Lyons on the pre/posts. Eck and Lyons fill in for Remy when he's gone usually. Rice is almost completet incoherent and rarely makes any sense.

I never watch NESN for anything but the games. As soon as the Sox end I immediately switch to MLB Network.

Lyons was just so overly critical about everything anyone did, like he's got a knowledge of the game that surpasses our understanding. I like how Remy can offer an insider knowledge of the game, but is more than willing to admit that he was, at best, a middle-of-the-road player. It depends for me, if the Sox game was a good game, or REALLY bad and Eck is the one on the post game, I'll stick.
