This reminds me of my favorite Onion headline:Alex wrote:the only literature that's worth reading is about the bravery of men at sea, with only scurvy and male companionship to shepherd their paths into the ineffable void

Bought this (Reflections: An Oral History of Twin Peaks) forever ago:

Finally started reading it this afternoon. What a great GREAT read. If you're a fan of the show, this is a must.

Starting "Alive" tonight, btw. Wife just finished it. I've seen the movie, but it was a long time ago, and I'm sure the book is a more accurate account. Been really into non-fiction adventure these past few years.

I just finished The Terror by Dan Simmons. It was one of the better modern books that I've read. I will probably read another Simmons book someday. Does anyone recommend any of his other works?
AMC owns the rights to this. It's supposed to be a series or mini-series someday.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith
One of those books I probably should have read a long time ago. Finally getting around to it. I'm only about 100 pages in, but I'm fucking loving it. This is a really lovely book, so far.

Got an advanced reader copy of Among the Ten Thousand Things by Julia Pierpont. I'm about half way through and I'm blown away. Lights out debut.
