Just a great fucking band. Their first three albums are killer. I'm not a huge fan of most of their 80s/early 90s output, but then they returned in the 2000s with more great stuff. Pretty clearly a huge influence on a great many bands that followed. Everything Ian MacKaye does has a bit of Wire in it.

I used to really like that first Elastica album until I heard Wire. After listening to Wire for the first time I could hear their sound in so many other bands.
