Pretty minimal surfing in that trailer.... Is this really Point Break or douches jump off cliffs and junk?

I can't think of anyone else I'd less like to see make Jonny Quest movie than Robert Rodriguez.

I will say that set-pieces look very cool and I love that they filmed on location. It looks like a pretty unique experience. But the cinematography looks like dogshit and that lead actor looks sketchy as fuck. I dunno. We'll see.

I think there should be a law prohibiting ANY Swayze film being remade. Show some fucking respect.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Some movies just don't need to be remade

I'd put a good bit of money down that you're going to love it.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I will say that set-pieces look very cool and I love that they filmed on location. The only time any movie needs to be remade or rebooted is when it was built on a good idea and it completely botched the delivery.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Some movies just don't need to be remade

Or, you know, if someone has a new angle or approach to bring to the same premise. Or a new idea sprung from something in the original. Remakes/reboots don't really have anything to do with the quality of the original.McParadigm wrote:The only time any movie needs to be remade or rebooted is when it was built on a good idea and it completely botched the delivery.E.H. A lot of the time, that should probably result in a new movie anyway.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Or, you know, if someone has a new angle or approach to bring to the same premise.McParadigm wrote:The only time any movie needs to be remade or rebooted is when it was built on a good idea and it completely botched the delivery.E.H. "I have a new angle to the 'man with no name' premise; I'll make Mad Max" makes far more sense to me than "I have a new angle to the 'man with no name' premise; I'll remake A Fistfull of Dollars."

I think both are perfectly valid ways to do it. More than one way to skin a cat.McParadigm wrote:A lot of the time, that should probably result in a new movie anyway.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Or, you know, if someone has a new angle or approach to bring to the same premise.McParadigm wrote:The only time any movie needs to be remade or rebooted is when it was built on a good idea and it completely botched the delivery.E.H.
