Had some saag paneer, naan, and curry coconut shrimp soup at the work cafeteria today, and I feel like someone poured cement down my throat.

I just had dinner at Prune, which is my favorite restaurant in NYC that doesn't require a 30 day advance reservation. It was glorious! We had fog legs, fried sweetbreads, fava beans & lentils, mushrooms, a pork chop, duck breast, fried chickpeas, deviled eggs and all the drinks! It was miraculous and I feel like I've never loved NYC more than I do right now.

Twice now I've had the best sweetbreads of my life at that place. Two different preparations, each better than the last. I just... I can't!

I'll just be reheating. It's leftovers from the other night at Prune.

I wish I could. Were I at home or had access to a stove/grill, I totally would. Unfortunately, I'm at work and all I have is a microwave. But the memory of how fucking amazing it was, the way it was meant to taste, will get me through.
