I'd hope they don't go back to the main theme for that when there's a perfectly good song for that moment
I dunno. I have a feeling Catelyn is going to play into the end game in a way that matters and can't be written out. Can you think of a character written out of the show that probably plays a bigger role?

And then we also think in The Two Towers that Frodo is dead, since Shelob stung him and wrapped him up. I really bought it because he set me up with those other deaths. But then, of course, he brings Gandalf back. He’s a little strange at first, but then he’s basically the same old Gandalf. I liked the impact we got from him being gone.”
Martin’s explanation initially sounds like an argument against including Lady Stoneheart, but Martin then noted: “Lady Stoneheart is not Cateyln. I’ve tried to set it up beforehand with Beric Dondarrion and his repeated [resurrections]. There’s a brief appearance by Beric in Book One and he rides into the city and he’s this flamboyant Southern knight. That’s not that man we meet later on.”
A part of me would like to see her in the tv series but I'm also thinking the tv series can't even handle the sand snakes. I'm torn. I don't think the show runners could handle a character as complicated as lady stoneheart.
I really don't get all the hate for the Sand Snakes on the show. They aren't that great in the books either. What am I missing? At what point do we see them do anything exceptional? Why do people have such an affinity for them in the books but hate them on the show?

Point taken. I think it may have to do with the visual medium. It's more jarring to see useless characters and scenes.

Point taken. I think they're uselessness is more jarring in a visual medium.
That may be. It doesn't help that they either didn't cast competent actors, or the directors haven't been able to get competent performances from them.
I would much rather have seen Asha/Yara. But, really, it's only been three scenes right? Maybe four? And the longest one was the Bronn/cell scene.
Meanwhile there was a 23 minute battle sequence last week that could have been 10 minutes shorter and just as potent. I don't know. Just feels like there's a lot of wasted space on the series sometimes and it's weird to me that the Sand Snakes take the brunt of the criticism. Which is unfair.

True but most of the wasted air time was at least average in its presentation though. This was just bad so I think that's why these characters are getting so much shit. Plus that fight scene wow. That was awful.
