Archer, Gray and Pineda are having pretty great seasons, too. Felix has been awesome, but not typical Felix-level awesome.cutuphalfdead wrote:Dallas Keuchel should start the ASG for the AL as it stands today. Not Felix, not Kluber.

Re: MLB
As it stands today Nick Martinez probably deserves a spot on the all star team.
My Rangers called up Joey Gallo. Ugh lot confident about this. He has light tower power but he strikes out a LOT. Like a Chris Davis amount. I'd rather him stay on the farm the rest of the year.

Agreed 100% with this. He is an animal.cutuphalfdead wrote:Dallas Keuchel should start the ASG for the AL as it stands today. Not Felix, not Kluber.

This is the last year of Tal's Hill and the flagpole in Houston. They're getting rid of them, moving the fences in and making a concession area.

I know I'm in a small minority, but I liked that hill.Biff Pocoroba wrote:This is the last year of Tal's Hill and the flagpole in Houston. They're getting rid of them, moving the fences in and making a concession area.

I liked it too. I played in a field with a hill in left. It's very hard to run up a hill while your eyes are tracking the ball.numbers wrote:I know I'm in a small minority, but I liked that hill.Biff Pocoroba wrote:This is the last year of Tal's Hill and the flagpole in Houston. I like it too, For as stupid as the cookie cutter stadiums of the 70s were, most of these "new" stadiums feel like big iron houses with some brick tossed around to make it feel like a throwback. Houston went the extra "hill" It really gave the field its own feel with the left field stands jutting out and the hill in CF.CopperTom wrote:I liked it too. I played in a field with a hill in left. Here's a play I'm pretty sure I've never seen before.

Re: MLB
The Braves have not been as bad as expected this year with one glaring exception; the bullpen is cover-your-eyes awful.

The Braves Bullpen is laugh out loud horrible.
It's just what happens when you use your bullpen to get out from under horrible contracts.
The team full of 3rd or lower starters is more troubling long term.

Guys, the Pirates drafted Newman and Kramer with two of their first three picks.

As baseball fans, I know we like to complain about umpires, especially the douchey ones. So here's what John Gibbons did to get ejected by Angel Hernandez last night:
