so Trader Joe's just released a 6 year old aged cheddar.
I was excited, and it was pretty good, nothing spectacular. But great for the price.

I've started getting a 5 pack of smaller-sized cheeses instead of a block of cheddar. Best decision ever. Had some smoked German cheese the other day, and it was so good.

Just had a type of cheese I've never had before, called New Zealander. Soft and creamy but sharp. Great in an omelette

We have a wine region to the east of Sacramento that has begun to rival Napa, and there is a great cheese shop in one of the small towns (Sutter Creek). On my last visit I got a porter cheddar and a caramelized onion Gouda. Both were great, with the porter taking a slight lead. Had the Gouda been smoked it could have won...
