So six episodes is kind of weak. Even TWD did 8 the first season, right?

Oh. Maybe they did. Still weak given they will have a huge built-in audience already from TWD.

Generally speaking, the fewer, the better for TV shows, though.

I'd like to see them condense TV shows down to a single 90-120 minute episode.

True. I do enjoy how they do the Sherlock seasons as 3 two hour episodes.

Welp.
"I will say that I don't consider this show to be a prequel," Kirkman told Entertainment Weekly. He also teased that the characters of the upcoming show will meet with the TWD season 2 and 3 characters in future.

"There will be a point where a certain episode of this show will line up with Season 2 of The Walking Dead, and a certain episode of this show will line up with Season 3 of The Walking Dead.
So we will be progressing through time to the point that we do pass the initial days of the outbreak. But how fast it is that we get there? That's just going to have to remain a mystery."

The highly anticipated series will premiere in August on AMC.

I was really hoping they wouldn't do that, other than maybe a humorous cameo or something.

unless it is a lesser character, like some national guard guy that ends up in LA and is all "man, I was just in Georgia and it went all to crap fast". Or something.

Maybe they'll just have T-dog, Dale and Hersel make cameos as Zombies.

It'll probably be something stupid like that kid that Rick and Shane drove away from the farm before they had that hissy fit with each other and almost died on that school bus.

Maybe it will just be that hispanic family that disappeared in season 1 and never showed back up.
