I just thought I'd throw out a response that was worthy of the post.

We're never going to agree on this. So, what's the point? You like terrible movies. Something about the aesthetic of really awful movies movies you and speaks to you. And I respect the shit out of that, even when I don't agree. You're an intelligent guy who can back up his opinions in valid and interesting ways.

So when you result to insults and name-calling it turns me off. Even when I know you're being funny or whatever. When that happens, I reply in kind.

We've had this discussion too many times. You'll always love movies that a great percentage of the population hates for your own, totally valid reasons. But when you dismiss an art form totally out of hand, you sir, are the one acting like a troll. Television has surpassed film. I'm not saying it won't swing back the other way some day. But right now, TV is, pound for pound, far more interesting and challenging than film.

You don't agree. Fine. We probably never will. Just be aware that most people do agree with that sentiment. Not that that invalidates you or anything. Just something to keep in mind.

American TV has sucked the live out of shows for far too long and they're starting to learn their lesson. There has been a notorious amount of "filler" on American TV for a long time. Especially, on the networks. But we're seeing a paradigm shift and that's a very good thing.
This is an interesting post because I can't tell which parts are serious and which parts are jokey. Anyway, I really like the bluntness of "You like terrible movies"

I'm just so happy that it happened organically. I was purposefully fucking around in this thread when it was first unlocked, but to see this thread go off in the direction it did--so naturally--was beautiful.

The best part is that this is the post that eventually derailed the thread.

Threads like these are what give me up that RM can carry on without Alex.

If Alex was a character on the new Fear the Walking Dead, who would he be?

New trailer. No better.

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?
