Yeah ours does too. I'll let the dogs shit on it all summer then see how it is in the fallSelf wrote:My lawn needs a complete overhaul and I don't wanna do it. We spend so much time in the back yard that it'd be like closing down the park for the summer. Maybe in the fall.

Re: The Home Improvement Thread
Finished this up recently. Turned out great. If a compound mitre saw is a chop saw that can angle to 45* then yes, that is what I used.dpupenya wrote:bodysnatcher wrote:Never installed it, but seems like it's just the same way? What do you mean by sticking out further?Bammer wrote:Has anyone here installed crown molding? But not where the wall meets the ceiling. We are doing a decorative molding strip about a foot down from the ceiling. Do I just cut all the corners (inside and out) at a straight 45 degrees? That's what I did for the floor trim, looks great.
Pictures online show the top of the crown molding corners sticking out further, but I don't think that applies to my project.
Don't you need like a compound miter saw?

On second thought, no, no mitre saw.
Angled chop saw worked fine.

We are refinancing because rates are really good. Have an appraisal tomorrow. Guy said he would only be inside the house for about ten minutes. So do I need to just focus on making sure the outside of the house looks perfect or what?

Just make sure there isn't any glaring maitnenance that needs to be done. Something that might impact the livability.
I always roll my eyes when people doll up the interior and light candles and try to sell it. It doesnt matter if theres fucking clothes on the floor or not.

Does that thing look at closed properties in the area or just listing prices? I dont trust listing prices because brokers/home owners are idiots.
