Re: MLB
There's been a weird controversy here lately because Jerry Howarth (Jays radio guy) and a couple other media people have been saying all kinds of crazy stuff about how Reyes just doesn't have it any more and is in decline and overpaid and smiles too muc and needs to be replaced by Ryan Goins, who's terrible.cutuphalfdead wrote:Reyes has been fantastic since coming off the DL.
Meanwhile, if you remove the week where he only batted right-handed because he was playing with a broken rib, Reyes has something like a 130 wRC+. Toronto baseball media might be worse than Toronto hockey media.

I was really happy the Jays addressed my two biggest weaknesses in the franchise tournament this offseason, and it couldn't be going any better. Donaldson (6th for 3B) and Martin (10th for C) are both already in the top ten Jays seasons for their positions.
I fully intend to contend for the title this time around.

DeLino DeShields Jr. left the Ranger game today with a hamstring issue. Hopefully it is not too serious. He has been a huge reason the Rangers have won 26 of their last 41.
Agreed. It will be really interesting to see how this team responds in the second half. I really want to see them call up Kyle Schwarber. Just adore his approach at the plate. Also, Edwards should be up to help the pen this year. Really wish the Rangers wouldn't have traded him. I LOLd I won't lie.numbers wrote:The Red Sox are pathetic through 8.

Through 64 games, the Jays have scored 67 more runs than the second highest scoring offense in baseball.

Not laughing at your misfortune. Just the delivery. I like when the Red Sox are good.
