Is the game really going to be significantly more massive than something like GTA V or Witcher 3 or Inquisition, though? Seems like a specious excuse.mf wrote:meh, it's a bit less than i would have expected but i wouldn't say they look like shit. the dog did look kinda shitty though. like others have said, this game is probably going to be massive so expecting flawless graphics on a game this large is probably unrealistic.LoathedVermin72 wrote:why does nobody care that the graphics in the fallout 4 trailer look like shit

Re: The all inclusive video game thread
It's kind of tough to guess at the actual scope of this game from 2 minutes of teaser. I haven't played GTAV on a next gen console, or the Witcher 3 or Inquisition at all yet so i can't really comment on those specifics. I'll restate though, based on the trailer the graphics seemed decent enough but not mind blowing. They are DEFINITELY better than Fallout 3 and Skyrim however. They look next gen to me. Maybe not as good as some of the other next gen titles out there but there is an improvement. I'd argue that none of Bethesda's games on the last generation of consoles were graphically superior either.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Is the game really going to be significantly more massive than something like GTA V or Witcher 3 or Inquisition, though? I'm going to make an assumption that what we are seeing in the trailer is either actual game footage, or at least footage rendered with the game engine. Given that fact it looks fairly promising to me. There are things like the dog's fur that look pretty crappy, but there are other things like the draw distance (specifically the leaves in the trees in the pre-war scenes and the vegetation on the buildings in the post-war buildings) that look pretty good.
Ultimately i'm not worried about it. It's going to be a great game and the Boston wasteland is going to be a blast to wander around in.

Re: The all inclusive video game thread
I don't really need it to be massive. I'd rather they fix the npc stuff and a few other things. But size makes a good bullet point in the sales pitch, so they'll probably just go bigger.

I still don't feel that I've dented the Witcher.

Hmm, I dunno. Not feeling it. I get what they're going for with the Johnny Cash, but it doesn't feel very Mass Effect-y. Trailer just looks like a nondescript sci-fi action game. At least we finally have a title and a release date.

Is this ME4? Or a spinoff?

It's ME4. BioWare always said it was never going to be called ME4 because the trilogy ended with three and they're moving on to a new place and time.CopperTom wrote:Is this ME4? Or a spinoff?

Wow, that was really fucking cool. I just wonder how much actual content the game will have since there are (reportedly) so few worlds. And I hope it's not entirely multiplayer.

feels a little like Little Big Planet, which I love, and Ori and The Blind Forest, which I love even more.

Re: The all inclusive video game thread
Are you able to choose between 1st person and 3rd person in Battlefront or does it change on its own? I can't play 1st person games.
