Pulled this from the show thread cause i didn't want to discuss it there. But yeah i too was wondering if they might combine both of these since Lady Stoneheart has been conspicuously absent. It would make sense that Melisandre would possess the same knowledge of resurrection as Thoros of Myr. On the other hand, i don't know that Jon would have the same motivations of vengeance as LSH. I think he would be a different character entirely.

I think Targaryens aren't really fireproof. Aemon burned pretty good. Daenerys surving the fire was a one time magic moment according to George. But who knows if the same can't be happening for Jon?
