Why are gun sales and advertisements ok all the time, except when, yanno, they cause mass shootings?
Hand guns are made to kill people. Selling them, which then leads to mass shootings, isn't offensive, but a commercial about them when there is a mass shooting is?

I appreciate the magnitude of the gun law/ownership issue in the US but things like advertising guns and using guns as incentives (that bank a few years back) make them a disposable everyday item.
Also, this issue needs to be addressed as it is a bigger problem than most of the terror threats we hear about. The gun reform laws in Australia wouldn't necessarily work but an attempt is better than nothing. Too many lives lost.

I think someone needs to add a list of people who were casually murdered by characters portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson. It would help to illuminate the work he's done to demonstrate the value of human life.

Big talk in South Africa over the last few months: students protesting a statue of Cecil Rhodes (He of Rhodesian fame) on the campus of a university. It ended up getting taken down. Rhodes University is having a vote on changing its name.
