I haven't seen it, but I'll go ahead and agree with you. Though, I probably liked the original a good deal less than just about anyone else you're likely to know/meet.

This movie is exactly what the trailer advertised. It took awhile to get going, but the last hour was fun.

I didn't like this one bit. The last 30 minutes was like a bad attempt at a godzilla movie.
