Yeah that didn't show much, but it made me remember how much I like TWD episodes that take place in cities rather than the woods.
I'm psyched.
I'm psyched.

I think it will be really cool to show people getting sick and the first person just walking around normal people still looking normal in a big city like LA and just taking a bite out of someone. It can bring a real fear when your not expecting it. The main series starts 3 months after the world went to shit.

It is worth it to give the first episode a shot, right? As annoying as some of the characters on TWD have become, this might be a fresh change with different characters. I really liked those webisodes they did a couple seasons back for that very reason. It was at the height of Carl's stupidity and whiney-ness.bada wrote:I think I'm gonna watch this.

Yeah with Tyrant ending I have a spot open for some trashy TV so I'll give it a try.

Re: TV: Fear the Walking Dead (AMC)
I'm going to give it a fair chance and the first batch of episodes is only six.
The origin of the zombie plague *could* be interesting. And the first couple episodes that have been previewed have been well received so far.

I liked it. But what was up with the 'white walker' blue eyes Calvin had at the very end? I rewound to the diner scene and his eyes were pretty brown.

Re: TV: Fear the Walking Dead (AMC)
I give it a meh+. There were a few details that bothered me. Like when the guy was running in the middle of the road for a full minute, stops for a few seconds, and then gets hit by a car, as if he had just jumped into the street.
And the kid with the knife who sets off the alarm. He has a huge backpack, but a quick dip into his pockets and the discovery of some spare change by non-security is enough to placate the principal.
The mystery that the characters are dealing with, "What is going on?", is not enough to interest everyone watching the show who knows exactly what is going on, as well as all the intricacies of every rule of this specific universe.

It has potiential. I like how they've set the origin story in a major city. The spread of an unknown deadly pathogen that causes society to break down & collapse has plenty drama within itself (Contagion) plus you mix on zombies, well it can turn the first season into a fun ride.
What kind of shirt was the kid wearing in the opening scene? It looked ridiculous.

I taped it. I may wait for a few episodes to pile up before I dive in.
